MUNOX(r) SR – Successful pilot test in the Caribbean

Mariner’s Choice has completed a successful pilot test of MUNOX(r) SR in the Caribbean.

An ideal site was selected based on a set criteria, which included petroleum contamination of soil and/or water, fresh spill or weathered.  The site contained weathered oil that had been there for a number of years.  It required approximately 20 L/5 gal of MUNOX to treat.

Contaminated water sample was taken before the treatment, and then further samples were taken on day 6 and 12.  A third-party lab was contracted to provide test results and to verify the effectiveness of MUNOX in eliminating petroleum contaminants.  Improvements were visibly apparent within the first few days, and by the 8th day there was a marked difference in the clarity of the water.

The lab tests showed the following:

Before the treatment – approx. 11,000 parts per million (ppm) of oil and grease.

Day 6 – reduced to approx 3,000 ppm

Day 12 – less than 1.6 ppm of oil and grease was present.

Proof positive of the effectiveness of MUNOX(r) SR.  Non-invasive remediation, efficiently taking a liability item over into the asset column – a positive impact on the bottom line.
