Turning “brown” to GREEN

I had heard the word “brownfield” many years back, but at that time, I hadn’t paid much attention and wasn’t aware of what it really meant, nor how much of it actually exists. Now, I’m paying attention!

Brownfield pertains to unused, abandoned contaminated properties – could be contaminated with a variety of different contaminants, pollutants and/or hazardous waste from commercial/industrial plants.  The redevelopment is mostly possible if the cost of remediation is feasible – for the landowner or the government – whomever is willing to take the responsibility for the clean-up.  The issue could potentially become a concern when the contaminants are considered to be hazardous and affecting the health of the nearby residents.

If you’re curious, just ask your local municipal office about “brownfield” in your area.  You might be surprised.

If a solution was found to be feasible and viable that would be a great cause for celebration, and it could motivate the many land owners and developers to start reclaiming their property value…

MUNOX(r) SR has been a “best kept secret”, but not for long.  As seen on the “EnvironmentGuru.com” site, the word is getting out about its effectiveness in surface and sub-surface applications.  In fact, the product has just been sent to another Caribbean region to clean-up a leak from an underground gas tank that has contaminants as deep as 30 feet below grade.

MUNOX(r) SR could just be the solution environmental engineers have been searching for.  It addresses the hurdles, such as – cost constraints, too invasive to the environment, environmental sensitivities, or not sustainable enough – that have stalled many remediation projects.

Once the contaminants have been analyzed, the situation assessed and deemed appropriate for the use of MUNOX, the application process is very cost efficient, fast-acting, non-invasive, safe for humans and the environment, and is sustainable…

…So, what are we waiting for, exactly?!   Let’s start turning “brown” to GREEN!
