Mariner’s Choice International Signs LOI with Swedish Environmental Technology Company - To Increase Footprint in Oil and Waste Treatment Industries
Jacksonville, Fla. – March 12, 2012 – Mariner’s Choice International, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: MCII), a North American manufacturer and marketer of an extensive line of ecologically-safe products for the marine and other industry segments, today announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with one of the leading environmental technology companies in Sweden.
Amie Hingston, President & CEO stated, “We are pleased to align ourselves with such an innovative company in the environmental arena. The agreement outlines our mutual intent to develop the business in the defined territories, which include North America, the Caribbean and parts of Europe and South America. It also calls for a more definitive agreement to be put in place within the next six months.”
Mariner’s Choice has received samples of their latest product, which has been tested for its effectiveness and efficiency in processing oil sands. The product does not require as much heat or water – a part of the process that is currently under scrutiny and criticism. The sample is being made available to select companies to perform initial bench-top tests to observe its performance, with an opportunity to scale up for further verification. The benefits of this environmental product could translate into significant cost savings and lessen the environmental impact through decreased use of energy and water, as well as provide a more efficient separation of oil from the sand particles.
Mariner’s Choice is continuing to develop its business in the remediation and waste treatment sectors with MUNOX® SR and other complementary products. Our focused effort in the Caribbean has been showing signs of progress, whereby the product has been included in a number of bid submissions for remediation projects.
